Woven Gabions

Woven gabions are hexagonal mesh panels made out of various corrosive resistant materials. This type of gabions are attached together through interlacing wires. Unlike welded gabions, woven gabions have no welding points and rely solely on its structure to support the force applied on the gabion. It has high tensile strength that is used for different heavy duty applications. Such applications, but not limited to, are bank protection and flood controlling applications. Advantages of using a woven gabion is that its edges will not unzip easily, it can be installed quickly and easily, it is deformable and can accommodate the needed special space, and the galvanized wire would not let it rust easily even when exposed to water.
